I’ve had my current Couch for a good eight years and I had it custom made, I was very particular about what I wanted, I needed it to be deep enough for snuggles (this has come in handy over the years as my backside has taken some leaps and bounds!), you see at the time most of the couches had seat cushions with just enough depth that would preclude anyone with a backside from sitting on it longer than 5 minutes! which is not what a couch potato does!
Anyway so I’ve been wanting a new couch for a while now and I’d like to share my Inspo with you. I am currently torn between getting a white linen couch…. soooo into the south of France vibes they give off!
Now look at this baby! Those rolled arms and the casters are giving me life!!! ⇑⇑ ⇑⇑. I would happily bring this English cushion-back rolled arm sofa into my Kenyan living room!

This design Inspo is speaking my language!!! Lets start with that round pedestal coffee table! 🖤🖤🖤 it! That bamileke stool!?? is what dreams are made of! The cherry on top has to be the Lavender in the vase behind the sofa! Sigh!!
I would swap out a lot of the other stuff – the throw pillows for instance, and add some palm leaf, mud cloth or kitenge throw pillows. ⇓⇓ ⇓⇓ Ah! the possibilities are endless!
Another style I absolutely love is the chesterfield! It gives me flashbacks of my child hood couch! Now if I was to get a Chesterfield, I would have a hard time deciding whether to go for a pop of colour or for a distressed leather which I have to admit makes my heart flutter!
I looooove this aubergine velvet ⇑⇑ ⇑⇑. I Absolutely adore the jewel tones and I’d not be mad at it if it was a chartreuse or an emerald green! say like this Inpso photo ⇓⇓ ⇓⇓. Those planters are just gorge!

Oh and don’t even get me started on this Vintage Brown Kensington Chesterfield Tufted Sofa! ⇓⇓ ⇓⇓
The two Inspo photo’s below show you just how versatile the Chesterfield can be.
So this is what a steampunk wet dream looks like!⇓⇓ ⇓⇓… You know what I’m not mad at those chandelier lamps either!
I also wouldn’t mind a good old cottage-ey vibe -slip cover and all! Say something along these lines ⇓⇓ ⇓⇓
This ⇑⇑ ⇑⇑ inspo photo is a fabulous scandi meets boho intersect.
There’s always the option of keeping my sofa and getting a few repairs done (after years of plonking onto it with reckless abandon it has some sections where you sit down and the curvature of you spine becomes dangerously strained!! ) and then getting a white linen slip cover… what to do what to do!?
My current sofa is an L-Sectional but currently I’ve split it into two ⇓⇓ ⇓⇓
It seats 8 (packed like sardines), but I want to swap it for a 4-seater and If I wind up buying a new one then it won’t be a sectional. However the sectional in the inspo photo below ⇓⇓ ⇓⇓ has me rethinking!!!
The fiddle leaf fig is making my fingers twitch! and how nice are the two layered rugs?!
